Position:Home>Dancing> Dance Help please =]?Question: Dance Help please =]!? Ok so which type of dance do you think you will get the most far in life with!. What I mean is that if you wanted to keep dancing in your life which type(s) would you be satisfied with!? also what would be better!? Ballet!? Tap!? Jazz!? Modern!? Pointe!? etc!? please help me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Well I have danced ever since I was 3!. If you are just starting!. I think you should take a ballet class because ballet is the foundation of all dance, trust me!. No pointe for you until you get at least 3-4 years of ballet first and develop that ton due' and pointe!. I first started with Ballet when I was 3 :) And have taken it ever since!. Then I started to take Jazz which is fun! :) To me it's sort of modern, ballet, and hip-hop somewhat put together in a way!. I just love JAZZ! :D So definitely take that!. I take Tap as well it is so much fun you should do it just for fun and if you really get the hang of it and like then keep on! :) I take Modern and Hip-hop as well!. If you can move and aren't scared to POP IT haha then take it! But if you don't have like rhythm then maybe hip-hop isn't for you!. Take Jazz before you do modern like you have to be able to feel it (it sounds phsyco but I'm serious haha!.) So first do Ballet and Jazz! And for fun TAP!!!! :) Those are awesome!. Then if you wanna try new things go on and take take Hip-hop and Modern classes later on!. If your looking into a career as you said for ballet, you work so hard & long for something and don't do it for long so you need to have a backup career! also work on becoming flexible that's how you become good and stand out!. At my dance studio stretching is the majority time of the class then we go across the floor and do a combination of course but yeah!. Well Good luck with whatever you do!. YOUR WELCOME! :DWww@QuestionHome@Com I love jazz!. Ballet is too perfect, and pointe hurts your toes, and modern!.!.!. it's ok!. With jazz you learn really fun things!. I used to be the biggest klutz, so when I was 5 my parents put me into every dance type there is, and now I'm one of the most graceful in my class!. You do fun stuff like kartwheels over chairs, really cool turn combinations, front flips of of a box, handstands off of a chair, backflips in a kick line!.!.!. and I AM NOT a flexible person! One you're in jazz you're pretty much able to do anything!. You can go more formal with ballet, or choose hiphop or modern!. Jazz is fun and very cool to watch and easy to learn, where in hiphop you have to have a natural skill to master it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com professional ballet is all pointe and once you're 30-35 years old, you usually have to leave the company and the only way you dance is if you teach!.!.!.!.!.!.so that is kind of a short career (performing-wise) and is probably the most brutal on your body!. the other forms of dance are more forgiving and they usually have a longer performing career time!. really think about your decision! good luck! :-)Www@QuestionHome@Com Jazz and modern are sort of the same thing!. But Jazz deffinatley because its a mixture really, it has a bit of ballet and a bit of street!. It can be upbeat or it can be slow!. It will go the furthest!.
