Yule ball waltz??

Question: Yule ball waltz!?!?

i want to know why type of dance they did at the yule ball in harry potter
i have been told that it was a waltz but probably coreographed differently
my question is what type of waltz is the dance or what type of waltz is it closest to!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It isnt a normal ballroom waltz even though they call it a waltz!. It is choreographed very differently to what normal ballroom dancing looks like, however the music used is similar to the timing of the Vienesse waltz so I would say it is closest to the Vienesse waltz

i think it is a mix between Waltz and the fox trout i am not certain!.
