Question: Which of these dance types should I take up!?
I'm kind of plump and not very tall, not very acrobatic like standing on two hands and stuff!. I'm a female and I'm nearly 16!.
I want to probably thinking of doing hip hop, street dance, jazz or mordern!.!.!.I have no idea what these are but I just like the sound of them!.
Which is easy to learn and not very stressing out but jumpy and exciting as well!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

hip-hop:
a lot of free style, and improv!. it's hard to get into it if you have no dance experience!.
street dance:
fun!. if you like un-structured things, then this is definately for you!.
jazz:
great for beginners!. teaches structured things as well as un-structured!. a mix of hip-hop and ballet!. GREAT choice!!
modern:
much like jazz, but more style is needed!. by style i mean experience in as many different kinds of dance as possible!. it's VERY difficult for a beginner, but rewarding if you are formally trained!.

i take hip hop and i love it!. street dance is probably very similar to hip hop but it might contain more of the breaking/popping/locking/etc which are also fun!. jazz is like a cross between ballet and hip hop and modern is like a less structured version of ballet!. it's more jazz-like i guess!. i think all would be fun so really whatever's most appealing to you!.

You should do both jazz and hip hop if you can!. They're both great workouts and you don't have to be acrobatic; you will most likely become acrobatic!. If you really want to take modern, though, you should take at least a year of ballet because modern uses a lot of ballet moves!. Hope this helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com
Have you considered ballroom!? Its a great all over workout
( see Dancing with the Stars) !. If you want something thats fun, tap is always fun!.
As a classically trained ballet student I can tell you that if you want to do Jazz or modern you really should consider that ballet forms the basis for both these dance disciplines!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I would say hip hop, street dance, or jazz!. You could start with a beginner class!. Take ballet too because that is the foundation of all dances!. It will help you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Try hip hop!.!.!. it's a bit of hard work but totally worth it!. Modern takes a lot of stretching and I think it's not very jumpy!. No offense to those modern dancers- modern is still cool!Www@QuestionHome@Com
Jazz or hip hop because you dont have to be a skinny little stick figure to be amazing!!!!
