it is a really good idea if you just stayed off of your ankle for a bit, and if this isn't possible, ask your dance teacher to do pointe on demi pointe!.
ice ice ice!. whenever it starts to hurt a bit you want to ice it a lot!. ice will keep it from swelling and will keep it from damaging the muscle even more!. this has happened to me a lot, so your not the only one with this problem!.
if it hurts so bad you simple can't even go on releve, ask your teacher to mark the dance class!. stay away from pirouttes, tours en' liars, tours jetes and other ballet moves including jumping!.with an ankle that is mildly injured, you could roll over on your ankle and damage it a lot worse!.
hope your ankle is fineWww@QuestionHome@Com

You need to ice it!. Put an ice pack on it for 20 min and do it every day until the pain stops!.

The body is amazing at healing itself and I think it will work itself out :) I don't think you need to stop Ballet, just keep on going unless its causing you any pain or discomfort!. Then you would need to take a break from that ankle!.

I hope this helps :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

okay put ice in a bucket and place your ankle in it for about 5 minutes!. Then take a warm bath to loosen up the muscle!. The ice will keep it from getting to sore!. Then slowly go back into ballet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

maybe don't do pointe for awhile, but demi-pointe should be ok if you take it easy!.

wear legwarmers during barre exrcises to warm up your ankle!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I Would Say Continue But While Resting Put Ice In a Towel And Wrap It A Bit Tight Around Your Ankle!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

take it easy for a few days then start out slow after a good warm upWww@QuestionHome@Com

still work on it so it wont get stiffWww@QuestionHome@Com
