You just have to work on straightening it!. The back leg is always more difficult to straighten!.!.!.if you feel pain in your knee when you try to straighten it, stop and talk to your instructor about it!. Otherwise, just practice; stand with one leg behind you on the barre and keep it straight!. also, the more you turn out your leg, the straighter it will look!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not seeing what you are doing wrong, you could think of these:

Make sure you are brushing your lead foot when you are doing your jete!. It's just proper technique!.

Make sure you are using your stomach muscle, your upper torso is proper upright position, breathing in when you take off, and imagining of being light or being a balloon - and always that string image on top of your head lifting you!. - make sure you relax your neck, shoulder, and face!.

Try breaking down the technique by doing it really slow!. You won't take off, but when you land on your lead foot you could feel and concentrate on your back leg!. You keep doing this until you can feel the feeling ingrain in your body!. The more ingrain it is in your body, the faster you do it!.

Do back tendus and back frappes, and feel your whole back leg how it is lengthen!.

Everything always come back to the basic, no matter how advance you are!. Level one is a good place to clean your techniques, lines, and work on those problems!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you have to think down in your prep and think up when you are jumping!. this means that you have to push from the floor to get hight on your jetes!. the higher you go, the easier it is for you to straighten your get!.
practice botmas to the back and make sure your extension and alignment are excellent!. straighten that knee as hard as you can!. check your alignment in a mirror so you know if you leg is nicely turned out and your hips are popped out!.
keep practicing every aspect that goes into making your botma a gorgeous one!
it also helps to be flexible!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ok hi great i am a dance too anyways uhm i have that same proble but what you want to try and do is not LOCK IT but pull it from the back of your knee it works better in person and i can explain it better but anyways you wanna try and see if you can put your let on a barre and try holding your leg back there and if still does work try fuetes ok i hope this helpedWww@QuestionHome@Com

Think about lengthening it our from the hip, then the thigh, then the knee, through the ankle!. I always had the same problem, and its almost like the back leg just wants to make a ring leap!. This sounds nuts, but I always thought of sliding ym split out on a table top, that helped keep me aligned!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
