There are other ways to learn and grow besides lessons/classes and playing sorts!. I have taken only one 'class' (on religious history through the Catholic church) but I see to it that I 'learn something new' every day!. Some days it's very small !.!.!. a new way to organize a shelf, perhaps !.!.!. on other days it's quite stunning !.!.!. a new way of looking at a particular philosophy or a way of breeding animals, etc!. It's not WHAT I learn, but that I made a vow to learn something new every day!. I didn't come to this when I was older and got bored, though !.!.!. it's something I learned from my grandfather when I was young!. He was an AMAZING man who worked in an office (he was one of the people high in the BPA) but could drive into the woods, stop the car, get out, and call the animals and birds to him!. I watched mother bears and their cubs walk up to him and watched my grandfather pet the cubs and tell the mothers that they were wonderful babies, watched him put his arms around deer in the fall when everyone was hunting them, give them hugs, and tell them he'd never hurt them !.!.!. I watched and I listened and I LEARNED from him about the ecology (in 1953, when that word was not well known at all), and about the things people must do to keep this planet we live on ALIVE and WELL!. I still learn, because it's NATURAL to me !.!.!. but like you, I am appalled at the number of 'adults' who not only stop learning, but who don't know how to teach anyone, even their own children, such simple things as how to tie their shoes, how to care when someone is hurt or killed, or how to GIVE just because they have more than someone else!. I don't know about this world of ours !.!.!. but like my grandfather, I will learn and teach and hope things change !.!.!. and do MY part in helping that change to happen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends on many things!. There is school, work, family, money issues, etc!. I started taking dance lessons in college, and have been at it for 20 plus years!. Often, former dance students will come back to take a few dance classes with the adults, and really enjoy it!. Like anything, you have to make an effort to do what you want!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree! That's why I started learning salsa at age 27, & am still practicing & learning a few years later!. I'm actually the reverse of what you describe!.!.!. was never athletic as a teen, totally uncoordinated!.

But after pushing myself to learn salsa as an adult, I've finally learned so much about movement & body awareness that I feel like a natural athlete!. So it's not too late for adults; they just need to step outside their comfort zone a bit!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

They all stop!. They all become work-aholics or alcoholics!. Some have kids and become obsessive while others play Desperate House Wives!. (similar to kids game of house, only it involves!.!.!. well, you know the show!.!.!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com
