stick with ballet and don't go on and off!. do exercises and make sure your ankles are strong enough!. do a lot of releves!. ask your teacher what you can do to be ready for pointe!. don't worry if she says you aren't ready because you're only 11 and you shouldn't start too young or you will hurt yourself :]Www@QuestionHome@Com

ask your teacher she'll give you advice because learnign how to dance on pointe shoes is quite hard and its difficult to get going!. I did dance from age of 3 until 15 and got on pointe shoes at 15!.!.!.when everone else in my class did, when we were in grade 4!.!.!.so that should let you know if your ready or not!. i didnt find it too hard because i had been dancing for soo long, but even i still found it difficult as did many other girls in my grade who had been dancing just as long as me!.

but yeahh, your teacher will tell you if you ask when your allowed on them but tbh if she thought you were ready she'd offer you them!. I was offered them at age of 11 but didnt want to do it as all my other friends werent and i'd have to go into a diff group and so i waited til i was 15 when the rest could do it with me!. So if she hasnt mentoned it to you i doubt your ready!.

good luck anyways xxxWww@QuestionHome@Com

Your teacher will let you know!.
It's not a certain age, its a certain strength and training!.
I took ballet for 9 years, and I was ready to go en point when I was around 11 1/2!. I quit, though, because en pointe really screws up your feet, and I was at a really competitive dance studio where everyone was trying to get into the major dance schools!.

But, basically, your instructor will know when it's time for you!. It's really about training yourself to get to that point so you don't injure yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not 3 years!. It takes a lot longer - I did it for about 7 years before I was ready!. I don't think you should start right now, but if you really want to, then don't overdo it!. Just do a few minutes each lesson en pointe!.
Ask your teacher for advice, but I should imagine that she'll be of the same opinion as me - 3 years on and off is not really enough time to prepare!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ok, you're teacher needs to tell you if your ankles are strong enough to go 'en pointe' On top of that your feet need to be fully grown, unless you don't care about deformities!. AND, you need to have done ballet for at least two years STRAIGHT!Www@QuestionHome@Com

okay I have been doing dance for 10 years and I just got my pointe shoes 3 years ago mind you I was ten when I got my pointe shoes and I started dance when I was 3 so I would ask your teacher, but if she says you aren't ready trust her judgementWww@QuestionHome@Com

It's to do with how strong your ankles are, you could be dancing for 20 years and still have weak ankles(although its unlikely) you really need to talk to your teacher to find out whether you're ready!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you should take just one more year on ballet instead of on and off, if you're on and off you'll lose your ankle condition i had to stay in ballet 4 years totally on before i got my first pointe lessonWww@QuestionHome@Com

i really wanna learn how to do it too!.

a big reason why i slimmed down was to learn how to on pointe but now i dont have the time to learn
=C

good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
