i am 13 and have just started ballet with a bunch of 7/8 year olds im in grade 2 istd and i love it!!
you wont be put with tiny ones because it will make you and the little people uncomfortable you will probablly be put in the same group as mine some studios do ballet classes for adults and tenagers just go along to your nearest studio with your mum or dad or who evr is gonna pay for it and ask or you could phone!.

just go for it i di and i dont regrete it its never to late darcy brusel didnt start ballet seriously until 13 so just go for it you will love itWww@QuestionHome@Com

No one is ever really too old to learn a skill, and I would think grouping you in a class with five year olds would be ridicoulous and only done in movie/tv plots!.!.lol

I dont know where you live, but in many areas there are Parks and Rec departments that offer classes such as, there are esp summer programs at some colleges and univeristies for the teen set, and you can also just call some of the local dance/ballet schools etc, just do the research for your specific area (or those you are willing to travel too!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go and DANCE no dance teacher in thier right mind would put you in a class of four year olds!. one of the principle ballerinas in New York CIty Ballet only started ballet when she was 12 and your just 2 years older!!

Go for it , im 15 and there is loads of people in my modern class who just go for fun and have just started!.

It is generally a friendly atmosphere, and i'm sure you'd pick things up quickly!!

Dancings Great

Good luck, and just enjoy it !

You are never too old to start a new style of dance! You may be put in a group of 5 year olds but that just means you will be the best! Show your teacher what you can do and she will move you up in no time!. Thats what happened to me- I was the best so I got moved up quickly!. Or ask your teacher what class you would be in and go just for fun!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Find a friend to do it with so your not embaressed!. I have two friends who started ballet this year, and they're 17! Dot waste time!.!.!.get some friends together and sign up!. The purpose of dance is to have fun and learn a new skill!.!.!.I dont think your ever too old!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You still should try, and i don't think they would put you in a class with kids much younger than you!. There might be a teenage beginer's class!. If there is, you'll get put in it!. If not, maybe there's an beginners adult class!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you're not too old, but you just can't do it professionally!. I don't know much about ballet, but in a modern dancing class, the group will be made of beginners your age!. I'm sure!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i have been doing ballet for 9 years and im VERY dedicated!. You should ask before you join a dance school if you are going to be put in a little kids class!
hope this helps xxxWww@QuestionHome@Com
