Question: Help on dance techniques--!?
anything that first comes to mind please explain how to do it!.!.!. i would appreciate help on double pirouettes, leaps (how to get higher, smoother, and more length) also good excersizes to strengthen my legs to help with my leaps!.!. etc!.

1!. Pirouettes: Remember to spot!. It will get you farther than you would think!. also have a slight contraction in your abs!. Doing crunches will help with all turns because you need a strong core!.

2!. Leaps: think about staying on a level plane (aka not up and over)!. Splits help with leaps, but again abs will also help!. To make your leaps look bigger and more grand, look up; it will focus your energy up and make it appear that you are going higher than you are!.

3!. General steps: Balance is a big factor!. Make smooth transitions and keep moving with your arms or whatever!. Try not to hit a position immediatly, but gracfully melt into them (unless instructed diffrentely!.

4!. Leg exercises: Fondues, calf raises, leg lifts, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

grande jete - it is basically a split jump!. When you do it, think about getting you back leg really straight and brushing and kicking up your front leg

fouette - known as the "whipping turn"!. its really hard, you do a pirouette, then when you get back to the front, whip you leg out and around and back to pirouette position!. hard to explain

1!. Double piroettes- it's just a matter of balence!. Make sure your singles are perfected!. also, pull up and make sure your shoulders aren't titled and you're not looking down!.
