Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The Elizabethan Era saw a great rise in social dancing as its own art form!. During that time period, dancing was usually integrated with opera, poetry, instrumental music, and drama!. Elizabeth loved dancing and placed a much greater emphasis in her court on social dances than on theatrical productions!.

The most prominent form of theatrical dance in England during Elizabeth's time and afterwards was the court masque!. This spectacle was unique to England, although it was inspired by events held in Italy!. It was still early in development during Elizabeth's reign, but the outdoor events she held did influence the masque's later development!.
