Question: How do I dance at a formal!?
Argh!. This is kind of a silly question, but in all honesty, I can't dance!. And I've got a formal, or a school social type of thing, but I'm dreading it a little because from past experience I haven't enjoyed the night due to my lack of dancing ability :( I would love to dance, I just don't know how! So I just crowd around the snack table instead and take photos!. Lol!. Not doing that again!
So, just wondering, what are some easy moves to bust (which don't make me look awkward and stiff) to both fast and slow songs!? Thanks, you'll be lifesavers if I get a reply :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Aww no it's ok :) I think anyone can dance!.!.!.if you can walk to music, you can dance to music!. So, you might want to watch videos/movies of dancing, just to get the rhythm going! try playing music and dancing to it!. Side-to side is pretty much a basic step, for both fast and slow songs!. also, for slow songs, the guy should lead!.!.!.!.but at school dances, it's usually a side-to-side step (basically shifting the weight)!.
For fast dances-it depends on the beat I guess lol! Some songs would be better moving hips/knees!. Hm, do you know that song the Electric Slide!?(the one that goes: "one hop this time, 2 hops this time!. cha-cha ya'll now!. slide to the left!.!.!.slide to the right!.!.!.")That's always a good dancing song for practice! Look it up on youtube, as well as the macarena!. Practice with these since they are aleady "choreographed!."

fast song with a beat, just groove to the music!. Move wherever it takes you!. it takes time, and dont worry about looking dumb- no ones watching u, they're all paying attention to themselves

Odds are whoever you are dancing with at a school social won't have a clue how to dance either!. Especially slow dancing at your age the guys don't have a clue!. It's usually just swaying to the music!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
