When I spot it find it is easier with out mirrors all around!. With mirrors, for me at least, I see a lot of moment and lose my balance!. I started practicing spotting in a room with a few things on the wall that way I have soemthing to look at!. I just try to look at it as long as I can and then turn my head!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Stand in front of a mirror and spot on your nose!. Start turning very slow, keepeing your sight on your nose until you cannot do it keeping your neck vertical then turn your head quickly to spot your nose again and continue the slow movement of youe body!. When you feel comfy with the exercise - do it quicker!.
When you do any turns diagonal of fuettes try to keep your spot a bit lower than your eyeline!.

i couldn't spot at ALL like a month ago!. but then when turning i just tried whipping my head around and spotting a mark or painting on the wall!. at first it didn't work but then after a while i got the hang of it for singles and now i'm working on my doubles while spotting! all you have to do is practice a lot!. it does get frustrating but it is all worth it because you WILL learn how to spot if you just keep to it!. i know from experience :] good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com

Don't spot to yourself in the mirror!. If you start to fall, you can only carry on!.
I've been finding, lately, that a the lid of a bottle of water on top of the piano is a very helpful thing to spot to!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

practice spotting slowly at first
turn and twist your body while holding your eyes fixed
when you've reached maximum twist, turn your head and regain your eye-fix, then let your body slowly follow

practice this gradually getting faster - start SLOWWww@QuestionHome@Com

don't practice spotting, in ballet I dont spot at all because like you said it makes you lose balance and it threw off my performance!. I have been practicing and dont need to spotWww@QuestionHome@Com

Instead of thinking about your head's actual movement, think about seeing one particular spot on the wall!. It will feel more natural than just thinking about getting your head around!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I cant spot to save my life
i get too dizzy and fall off pointe lol
but i would say stare at a spot
an just spin like not doing anything fancy just spin
and do them slow
until its naturalWww@QuestionHome@Com
