Question: Dance question!.!?
i can do grand je te pretty well as wellas the other leaps and jumps!. but the problem is!.!.!. height!. i need to improve my leaps!. its kinda low <for a man> but the extensions are good!. any ideas on how to make it higher!? seriously!. thanks for the answers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A strong plie is required for a jump of any kind with good height!.

Think of something pulling your head up, and pushing your legs off of the floor!.

You need to really practise these!. Try getting a lot of strength in your legs!. Practice simple jumps as well as grand jetes (pas de chats, changements, soubresauts, petit jetes) and try to get alot of height in these!.

Watch yourself in the mirror while you do these!. You really need to try and stay int he air for as long as possible, which means getting higher up!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Strengthen your lower ligaments!. So I suggest circuit training or resistance training for your lower legs to gain muscles!.

You can take muscle supplements but use extreme caution when taking them!.!.!.!.most of them are not approved by the FDA!. also!.!.!.stay away from those anabolic steroids!. Sure they can give you quick building of your leg muscles, but as you know, anabolic steroids come with very nasty side effects!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

also, drink a lot of milk!. The protein in milk will also help you build muscle in your legs!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Practice, practice, practice!! and while you are practicing focus on using your back leg to push against the floor this will help gain height!. Your front leg will help lift you up as you brush it forward, but really the back leg is the one doing most of the workWww@QuestionHome@Com

All good advise from my predecessors!. also, as you raise yourself, breath in, tighten your muscles in your rib cage and raise your chest and shoulders!. This got me extra height!. Try it sitting down and you will see what I mean!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Plie a lot before pushing off!. also, think about moving upward instead of forward while you leap!. I've done it and noticed a HUGE difference in height!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
