Question: Nite Club scene: Please explain girls dancing behavior and what it means, if anything!?
I'm new to the club scene!. My gf (of 3!.5 years) likes to go & dance!. I've gone several times, but hang back & don't dance!. Recently I finally decided I would dance!.
We were in a group with 3 girls and 4 guys!. We were all kind of dancing together!. My gf's best friend started dancing with me!. She was behind me, with her back to me, & kept rubbing her butt up & down my leg!. Later, she was behind me, facing my back, & put her hand on my stomach!. She inserted her thumb SLIGHTLY into my pants!. (1/2 way between the tip of her thumb to her knuckle)!. My shirt was hanging over my pants, so she wasn't making contact with my flesh!. Then later she was in front of me, but turned around!. She was rubbing her butt ON my crotch, making contact!.
Is this NORMAL dancing behavior!? It made me slightly uncomfortable, & I had no idea what to do!. I know girls go to the club "to dance!." Is this just how they dance!?!? Or does it mean something when they dance this way with someone they know!?!?

You should talk to your girlfriend and tell her you were uncomfortable and see what she has to say about it!. also, if you are really concerned, tell her to talk to her friend about it so that she does not do this in the future if you are not ok with this!.
Just so you know, I think the girl may have been effected by the alcohol!. I would be embarrassed if I were her!. But since I'm not her, I can only assume that she felt comfortable enough with you to do this!. She would probably not have done this if she knew it made you feel weird or awkward at all!. Girls dance like that for fun!.!.!. I dance like that with my girlfriends!. Since this friend has a boyfriend, I think it would be safe to say that she probably is not hitting on you but just trying to have fun!.
Kudos to you for wanting to keep a certain amount of comfort between you and friends!. This can definitely be an awkward and potentially bad situation if left unchecked!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, people dance like this all the time!. It is typical behavior in clubs, bars, etc!. The problem is people don't know how to dance so they shake their asses!. maybe you and your girlfriend should try taking salsa classes or something!. Learn to really dance and this will be a thing of the past!. But this behavior on you g/fs best friend's behalf is ridiculous she should not be putting her hands down your pants!Www@QuestionHome@Com
It doesn't mean anything, except that she might find you attractive or that in the particular moment she wanted to be wanted by a guy, especially if all of you guys are pretty easy going (which it sounds like you are)!.
If I was your girlfriend, I would have been upset!. It's definitely normal dancing/club behavior, but there's a line of respecting your best friend's relationship with her boyfriend, and she crossed it!. However, things are also a little laxer when people are tipsy!.

I think a lot of girls are preoccupied with impressing guys, so they do things to grab their attention like kissing other girls even though they're not even lesbians or wear short clothes or dance like they're having sex on the dance floor!. It's become exceptable mainly because of music videos!. But if you look back, women have always had to "impress" men in a way (corsets, trying to be thin, waxing, plastic surgery, etc!.)!.
