Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Ooh!.!.!. I like both!. It depends on what style of music I am dancing to!. Flexed frappes make a nice effect, and are more interesting and elegant!. Cou de pied frappes are strong and confident looking, with far more intensity!. I believe flexed frappes are the French way, and cou de pied frappes are the Russian way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Flexed frappes are more fun for me!. I love to really strike the floor when I do them!. After all, frappe's literal translation from French to English is "to strike"!. Cou de pied frappes are more dainty and delicate!. My ballet instructor has us do flexed ones en croix on flat, then rise up to demi and do the cou de pied ones there!. I guess that the flexed ones just give me a greater sense of strength and are more impressive if done right!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I've been taught to do them from a flexed foot, so that's what I prefer!. I suppose I could learn to do them the other way and be just as happy with that, though it would take some getting used to!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Definitely flexed =]Www@QuestionHome@Com I Prefer flexed :)Www@QuestionHome@Com tripples however!Www@QuestionHome@Com Quoi!?!?!?!? je comprens riens (what i dont understand) (in french)Www@QuestionHome@Com cou de pied!.!. i don't like them flexed!.!. it looks messyish no offense :]Www@QuestionHome@Com |
