whatever you prefer but i prefer lyrical!. Lyrical is the best and i think dance is practically based on that!. Ive Taken dance since i was 2 and still dance for 9 hours a week!. If you want to look at my cousins dance look up 9 crimes combo and shes the one in the pink shirt!. Well anyway tap isnt very fun!. It gets annoying because everywhere you step you tap so if you mess up you can tell!. I would rather watch lyrical because that is my style and have never done any other solo than lyrical!. If your still thinking of doing lyrical heres some songs-

dancing - elisa ( thats my solo song )
forever love- natalie something ( sorry i dont know her last name )
i can only imagine- mercy me
let it rain- unknown artist
everything- lifehouse
heaven 9/11- unknown aritst
mama- beth hart
headlock- imogen heap
come here boy- imogen heap
9 crimes- damian rice
inside the tornado ( also my solo song ) by unknown

- anything by nickelback
- anything by imogen heap
- anything by beth hart
- anything by lifehouse

hope i helped!!!

personally, i love a good, emotional lyrical number, but when it comes to the general public, they don't always appreciate fine art when they see it!. so i would go with a good rhythm tap number (not the jazzy 40s kind; its cool, but again, the general public doesnt always appreciate good stuff when they see it) to either no music or to something with a good beat and rhythms in it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have reasons for both, because I also enjoy both!. If your tap is hard, like rhythm tap or something Mike Minery would do,then go with the tap, but if it's not, then go with contemporary!. People can be amazed too with tap if its amazing!. And any dance you do will only be amazing if the choeography is good and the dancers are better!.

But I say, go with your heart, whichever one appeals to you more!.

good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah I never really enjoyed watching tap!. Lyrical and Contemporary is easier to relate to a bigger audience, even those who don't do dance!. Tap just gets boring and it is hard to hear the taps over the music anyway!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
