Question: Where can I find a rave in my area!? (im 17)!?

Im 17 and my prom night is coming up!. I dont really want to ask anyone and i think it'd be fun to go to a rave instead because i freaking love dance music techno ect!. the problems are

A) im 17!.!.!.so i dont know if i can get into any clubs!.!.!.id prefer not to have to sneak into any!.!.!.

B) Ive never tried to go to a rave before so i have no clue on how to find one!.!.!.
