Question: How to do the half splits!?
Hi there!. I need to do the half splits (where your back leg bends but front one doesn't) but I don't know what they're supposed to look like!. Particularly where your back leg should go!.

Ideally I really need to see a picture!. I've searched around but I can find any!. If you find one, or have one, or take one of yourself - whatever it is, that would be amazing!.

Thank you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Its usually called "Jazz splits" thats why you couldn't find it on Google!.

You usually go from a standing position and slide into the half split!.

isn't split already half!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes it is usually called jazz splits!.

I'm surprised you need to do these without instruction from your teacher, though!.

You perform them by sliding your front foot out straight, and landing softly with your back leg bent in!. There are various positions of the back leg!. I have seen many back legs stretched out much further than the one in the picture, so the dancer almost appears to be in a full split!

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
