Question: Want to Open a Hula Halau (Hula School) But I'm Borderline Unmotivated!.!.!.!?
I studied Hula for almost 15 years and have danced off and on for years!. I taught Hula for a short time, as well back where I came from to a limited amount of students!. I live down here in Florida!. My kumu (hula teacher) has given me her approval for me starting a halau here to teach hula, but I feel overwrought with some problems I'm having that are making me kind of exhausted!.

I don't even care about making money, I just want to spread Aloha through my love of Hula!. Where I live no one teaches this dance form!. In order to learn it you would have to drive 2-6 hours away to learn it!.

I would like to open my school out of my home starting this summer, but I'm having trouble organizing things and getting started because so many people are interested!. Does anyone know what I can do to get this show on the road!? Any ideas on record keeping and things of that nature!? Any ideas on at all, really, would be appreciated!. Just drop it on me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Check around for a "small business institute" - not one that charges! It should be free!. In my community it's run by the college, economic development, and chamber of commerce!. So, on second thought, call one of those agencies and ask about information for starting and running a small business!.

It's in the best interest of communities to help people start businesses so there should be lot's of free information about overall plans and steps!. Once you get that, you can tackle the steps one at a time in an organized manner and you won't feel so overwhelmed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

just go for it!!! If you want to teach Hula Halau then go!. First you work on the financial, then find a place to open into a School!. You probably need a little extra cash if you want to renovate!. Then, look for employees!. Sent out some flyers, post HELP WANTED in stores, or something!! Ask some of your friends to help out too!. Well, I hope that
helped you a little!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
