But we must remember that ballet is the key to any other dance!. The genre encompasses not only classical dance, but also minority dance from every single one of the hundreds of minorities in China!. Many classical forms are now a mix of traditional Chinese operas and ballet!. There is a lot of expression involved, and is a form of acting (left over from Peking opera etc!.) In terms of minorities, each group has a distinct style of dance!. Studying Chinese Traditional dance, I'm allowed to explore in reality 600+ genres of dance rather than one!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com Ballet all the way! It takes a lot of discipline (sp!?), quick feet, precision, and gracefulness!. It's hard, but in the end it's all worth it and turns out more beautiful than ever! Contemporary and Modern are probably my favorite!. it just lets you move in weird and relaxing ways!. lets your body take control!. Hip Hop because i love to be wild and crazy and its just so full of energy and fun!. Jazz because i love all the moves and i think it helps with modern and i just like it!. Lyric because it makes me relax and i let my body move not so much of a thinking thing!. even though theres choreography!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com I personally love them all but i think i'd say lyrical!. Dance is where I go to get away from it all!. And lyrical really lets you express yourself and get negative feelings off your chest!. I love tap too!. Because it's all footwork, and it's just fun because you don't get deathly out of breath like Jazz!. I still love jazz but when it gets to the point i can't breathe i stop enjoying it haha!. So i like it for the first little bit!. Ballet I love too, but yuo can't experss yourself as much, it's just about technical things!. And also i cant go on pointe because i popped my knee twice with it so I can only do normal ballet!.!.!.i just prefer more expressive forms of dance :)Www@QuestionHome@Com lyrical is the spit =]] and balletWww@QuestionHome@Com other: bboying i love all types of dance really and it's hard for me to explain exactly why!. i'm a hip hop dancer and bgirl and i'd have to pick bboying over hip hop (although it was close) just because it's more challenging for me and i like that!. questions like this are hard for me to answer!. there's just something about dance in general that fascinates me but i just don't know how to put it into words!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
