Question: ProAm competitions!?
Before I go out and buy an extremly expensive costume, I have to ask if i even need to!. I know in amatuer competitions at the begining levels you aren't allowed to wear the splarkly dress and whatnot!. I've never competed before but will start soon in the ProAm division with my soon to be teacher!. So my question is what are the clothing regulations for the begining levels of ProAm competitions in the US!. If it helps, I'm 15!.
Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The best thing to do is to go over it with your instructor!. He will know all the rules and the ins and outs of what you need (or don't need)!. Like WWD said, you can often convert something off the rack!. You can also try thrift shops; I've scored some amazing dance dresses that way!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Even the pro's don't wear the extremely expensive costumes on a routine basis!. Talk around your studio, and you'll get tips on the particulars of buying off-the-rack clothes and modifying them to suit!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
