LOL dont worry!. ask your mom
politely if she would not try to talk
to you and embarass you during
the dance!. tell her you just want
to spend the time with your friends!.
but be careful, you dont wanna hurt
her feelings!. she thinks shes doing
a good thing!. if she doesnt get the hint
then just flat out ask her if she wouldnt,
and tell her how you feel & why!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Talk to your principal or whoever is holding the dance and ask them if it's alright if she chaparones the bathrooms or take tickets so that way you can dance the night away without having to do it in front of your parents!.

Geez this isn't a big deal!. I chaperoned my daughter's 8th grade dance!. I hardly saw her!. It is a big gym with lots of kids!. My job wasn't to hang out with her, it was to supervise the students!. The principal gave us chaperons guide lines and rules to follow if anything went wrong!. It wasn't up to me to punish any wrong doers, just notify a teacher of the problem!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
