Ballet in college?

Question:i want to take a ballet class next year and i was wondering if anyone knew what we're supposed to wear for those classes. are they the same as regular dance classes?

Dance belt (supportive underwear), tights, black ballet slippers, and a tight-fitting Tshirt is what guys wear in a ballet class. Ballet classes are different from most other dance classes because you start with barre exercises instead of going right to center. Be warned: you will use muscles you had no idea you have.

Black tights & black ballet shoes, black leotard or White tights ballet shoes and leotard...they might let you were shorts or pants depending on the teacher

My sister took ballet class in college and she had to wear a tight black dance shirt and dance shorts with pink ballet shoes. there probelly the same as regular dance classes except your teacher will probelly look to see if your actually trying inorder to give you a good grade.

It depends most school has a dress code, well were black tights and black leotard i suggest pink shoes and leg warmers. I would suggest contacting the school then ask for the dance departments director or whoevers in charge and find out there

It depends on the dance department and the individual instructor.
A large well-know dance dept. will tend to have a strict dress code, while a small dance dept. will tend to be more casual.

in general you can assume it's like any dance class in the same style. but check with the teacher before you go.

I know a college dance instructor who teaches male ballet class, and he requires black tights and a tight shirt or leotard (as well as a dance belt and shoes.) He doesn't have any sympathy for guys who don't want to wear tights, including some college athletes who are told to take ballet. At his college, it's like a regular dance class where you really do have to follow the rules.

Presuming U R a guy...
1) Black tights
2) White or black ballet slippers
3) White T-Shirt
4) Dance belt (mostly optional, but some teachers require them)
