1. Find a swimming pool where the depth of the water comes up to your shoulders.
2. Wear a swimsuit.

3. Go into the water to the point where the water comes up to shoulder height.
4. Begin by simply moving your body in various ways, alternating movements approximately every 15 to 30 seconds. Examples: Run in place with exaggerated movements of your arms and legs. Switch to imaginary jump-roping alternating from one foot to the other. Switch to making circles with your arms extended outward and under the water while lifting one leg at a time up towards your waist. Switch to hoping from one side of the pool to the other and pushing your arms out and down in front of you. Hold on to the side of the pool with both hands and lift both legs up towards your abdomen at the same time. Invent your own movements. Anything works as long as your body is moving and you feel comfortable with the exercise.
5. The key is to continue exercising non-stop until you feel tired or have had enough. For some, this may only take a few minutes. Gradually work up to work-outs of 30 to 45 minutes doing the above.
6. Benefits:

You will be amazed at how good you feel afterwards, what a fun work-out this can be and how much better you will sleep. It's also an excellent way to reduce stress, to gradually remove excess body fat and to strengthen all major muscle groups with virtually no impact on your joints.
