Really listen to the corrections your teachers give you. Also, remember there will always be a school better than yours, don't worry aboout that! Don't let the other people in your class hold you bac, be the best you can be. Don't let other students, teachers or anyone else pt you down and lower your self confidence! Strive for the best, and you will succeed!
Trust me! I've been through alot during my dancing experience! I've to about 10 schools. But the important thiong is I love what I do! You gotta love it to really win it!

always do what u want and love to do....

Dancing is hard. I have a friend that's pursuing her dream of being a dancer, and she works hard at it and to me, watching her, it appears to be very physically demanding.
If you focus and it's something that you really want to do then you can definitely make it.
(I'm assuming that's what you were asking)

You can eat anything you want if you dance it off! Make sure you always stretch every morning and before and after you dance or perform any other physical activity. Not only does it stretch you out for the activity it also adds to long term elasticity. Splits aren't the most important thing in the world and believe or not you CAN do a 180 degree split leap WITHOUT having your oversplits. Pirouettes take lots of time to add on. it took me 2 years to get my double, then 3 months after to get my triple. If you hop onto your pirouette you get better results. Just because the dance is faster, doesn't mean it's better! Broaden your horizons, don't just do pom and jazz, and ballet, make sure you ad modern to you list, many colleges require a good base in modern to get into their dance programs. Don't try to dance better than other, try to dance better than yourself. No matter how much you love dance, unless you get paid to do it it should not become your life. Make sure you do other hobbies too, so that you look well rounded in the future when you apply to colleges. oh and make sure you warn boys before you do an arabesque!;-)
