Question:when used for dance?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: when used for dance?

Rosin is used in studios with wood floors so girls dancing en pointe don't fall. Satin+wood=slippery! Rock rosin needs to be crushed into a powder so it will go onto the boxes of pointe shoes. You just step in it and it sticks.

Oh I think I know what you're talking about. When I do pointe, we had to use rosin to keep us from sliding on the floor because the floor as slippery. So basically, its just used to make your feet not slide on the floor and sort of stick instead.

its this stuff in a bag and it kinda looks like hard candy and pour some out and you break it up with your pointe shoes and then you don't slip!

Rosin is used for dancers on en pointe so that they dont slip and fall if the floor is slippery. You put it on the tip of the pointe shoe.
