well, some people are better at being "light on their feet" than others, but that's not saying that not everyone can be. the main way to do this is to keep almost all the weight of your foot in the metatarsals, or balls, of your feet. when you do this, you can easily jump, run, releve (if you're a dancer), or bounce up and down. but if you put all your weight into your heel (do not do that) you sink back, it's harder to push off, and it makes your feet sound clunky and loud.
so basically, just keep the weight in the balls of your feet. but make sure you do keep your heel on the floor, just don't put pressure into it.

You can be born to know how to do it. Us dancers learn it by remembering that you land on your feet, toes first then the middle then your heel. very simple.. You just try not to sound like an elephant. Key term used here is "light"

you are not born with it. you can practice by walking around on your toes. i did that and i am so light on my feet, but now i walk like that sometimes. you could also do like a strattle jump and just try to be really quiet whenyou come down.

It is a euphemism: A polite way of saying that a man is a homosexual..............

It is anatural to a degree, but the term "applombe" refers to learning to dance while lifting your center, which can definately help make it look like youre light on your feet!

Lyrics- LMAO, thats "light in the loafers"!
