Question:So, as the title says, I need help with slow dancing. Actually dancing in general. So here's the situation: I asked a good friend to go to my junior prom with me, but I have one week to learn how to slow dance and well, dance in general. I dont plan On grinding and stuff with her because this is the first major "date" we've been on. I just want to know a good place online that could show me how to dance enough so I don't look like a retard.

Slow dancing at your age is very easy. Most people simply sway to the music. Your hands will be on her waist and her arms will go around your neck or rest on your shoulders. If you have rythm, try to sway in relative tempo with the song. Just sit out the first slow song and watch what other couples are doing. Trust me, it's not hard. Just do everything gently; step lightly, place your hands lightly on her hips, etc.

For fast dancing, watch the movie "Hitch." It's basic, but in the movie Will Smith gives great dancing advice for men (don't get crazy, keep it simple, don't move too much, basically don't make an *** of yourself). Put on some modern pop and hip hop songs and practice stepping side-to-side in time with the beats of the music. If you can do that, you'll be ok.

youtube??

youtube could definitly help!! But, if not...here's the basics of it!!! :

place your hands on the girls waist. Then, to the beat in the music, rock slowly back in forth!!......It also helps if you don't act awkward or nervous.....because the she feels the same way!!!

~hope this helps!!
