I don't know how that pole actually works, but I know that it is flimsy and dangerous... DO NOT put your weight on it. I bought a x-pole through my dance studio, but you can also go to their website. They are based in the UK I think. The removable pole I got leaves no marks (unless there is cottage cheesing on your celing) and goes up/comes down in 10 mins! It also has both static and spinning mode... I highly recomend it. It took some getting used to after using the permanate pole in the studio, but I'm SO glad I got it, it was a great investment.

It's also simple to clean, dilute rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and spray it on a cloth, then rub down the pole. You can also spray it directly on your hands and inner thighs if you are sweating or having troubles sticking. Just make sure you don't apply any lotions within a few hours of wanting to practice.

Good luck dear, sorry you got taken, but read boxes carefully, MOST say "for entertainment only, not ment to support your full weight"

yes screwing it into the ceiling would deff help, screw it into the floor too.

the electra pole isnt a professional pole, they dont recomment putting your full weight on it, an lets face its only fun wen ya cn swing around it. i bought the peekaboo pole las year, total waste of money- it kept falling over 2. ive now gt th x-pole and its amazing-more expensive but truely worth it. the electra poles only really for doing floor moves n th likes. if i was you, id sell it on, on ebay (i did n made a tenner-sneaky, but true!!) get a proper pole.

i wudnt recommend tryin to attach it to your ceiling, cud b dangerous n cud possibly damage ur ceiling. neways, hope this has helped
