Question:im nearly there doin front splits and side splits, today will i be able to do it fully?im sooo tempted to do it!if its possible what stretches should i do?iwill do anything to make it possible!plze help,im tempted to pull a muscle or sumic if no-one helps !if you can talk me through it or sumic and you hav yahoo messenger plze tell me so you can help me!


ive jus done a butterfly stretch and all of a suddel my head could touch the floor for the first time!after i got up there was a bit pain in my leg but i never forced myself, and i got further down on the splits,is it normal?


...5minsl8r.....i try splits agen but im back to normal with front splits but im even worser with sidesplits!wat hav i done? i did plenty stretches.when i did the butterfly streth my leg bone cracked(as usawal). why is my sidesplit goin worse instead of better? wil it be ok later?

the best way to stretch is to get into the position and and take deep breaths. This allows the the muscles and ligaments that are being stretched to get the oxygen they need to go further. Dont stay for too long, the longest u should stay is about 3 min. Some people try to sleep in a stretch but that is probly about the worst thing u can do. You need to allow your muscles to continue to stretch to their fullest potential and then release so as not to strain anything.You have to realize this isnt gonna happen in one day or a week.It will take time and determination.

A good stretch to help with your straddle(front split)is to lay on ur back and open your legs as far to the sides as you can. Allow gravity to pull them down instead of pressing on them.
Also to help slpits, you can get into a split and bend your back leg(jazz split). Over time straighten your back leg and eventualy you will be on the floor. Continue the butterfly. Thats a good one.

don't try too much otherwise you might pull a muscle, after warming up, when doing the front splits get down to where you are comftable and gently bounce down and you should get futher, also if you have a bath before is relaxs the muscles
