Question:ok well i need to be able to do my splits in like 1 and a half months and i am pretty far off from it. I am pretty flexible. So i was wondering if you knew any streches/ exercises that helps you be able to do them!!!

do a lot of streching excersises.

I am a dancer and also had this problem.
When you are watching in tv just start stretching and soon you will be in your splits.
Or after you take a warm bath or something.
But you want to make sure your muscles are somewhat warm before you start stretching, then you might pull something.

I know a really good one but a little hard to describe.You need a wall.

What you do is take one foot and put the sole of it on to the side of the wall and keep your other leg staight.You can use stairs for more of a challenge.

just stretch ur splitz for like 10 minutes everyday and youll get them. im going through the same thing kinda

Do lunges all the way down to your knees
Do high kicks
Stretch always

I had this problem to. Okay so what i did was every time i was watching T.V. i would stretch you no start out light until you are a little bit warm and then go harder. Also every day i would sit in my splits for 5 minutes even if it was really far away from the ground, on both sides. Also you can do this one wall stretch were you lay on the floor and put your legs up on the wall and do like a strattle while still laying on your back, then have someone push your legs down a little farther after you have been like that for a few minutes. Stay there for like 5 minutes. You can also do your splits with like one foot up on something like a mat that is like 2 in tall because than there will be no ground under and you will stretch it more.

I never really had that problem because we always worked on splits during dance and i got them after a couple years of dancing heres what I think will help....
first just sit on the floor and spread out your legs, to strech grab each toe and reach twords the middle as far as you can.
after this i would stay in this posittion but go up against a wall because it will keep your legs from moving closer together while streching. when up against the wall, reach for your toes and hold it turing your hips top face where your reaching.
after these streches for like 15 min, do your left riight and middle splits and hold them for a minute.


you need to do this everyday and hold each split for 1 min the first week then 1 min 30 sec the next then 2 min etc....

try this and tell me how it works for you !!!

STRETCH every chance you get!

ok well im really flexible so i got my down easily....but my dance friend has never been able to get hers down......u just have to stretch so so so much...she always says shes nvr gonna get them down but i always am like just practice...stretch ur splits each day....if worst comes to worst push urself down....ive had to do it before when i lost them or was really sore...u may not be able to but u just gotta work at them....good luck:)

There are many ways to do this but I got both splits all the way down by squeezing the muscles in my thighs. It always depends on how far you already have them.
