Need ideas on a florescent fame costume?

Question:I need a florescent fame/ flashdance costume for a dance show. Has anyone got any ideas what i could wear?

Watching the movie/tv show will help, but basically you want bright colours and stuff you can move in. Think 80s.

I'd suggest a pair of bright leggings or footless tights, with maybe a tutu or a pair of shorts or a gym skirt or something over the top if you want.
Then buy an over-sized (so that when you put it on it's very baggy) brightly coloured top (contrasting colours) and slash and rip it. You can decorate with ribbons or somethign if you feel like it.
Then a tank top underneath the t-shirt, a different coloured scarf or something round your waist so that you're nto shapeless and some dance shoes.

Do not , under any circumstance, forget the LEGWARMERS. Stripy or brightly coloured are great. They were big in those films. Maybe some sweatbands too if you feel like it.

blue vest top with a pink baggy top over illuminous yellow tights and a blue tutu with green legwarmers
