I go to dance competitions in Utah. And Some advice I could give you are always feel the music let your movements go with it. NEVER NEVER look at the floor while you are dancing (unless there is like one part your head is supposed to go down lol) Dance with the other girls on your team ( what i mean by that is stay together) ALWAYS ALWAYS stay in character (this mean never stop dancing even when you are walking on you are performing) Remember you an performer and you need to perform it. Connect with the audience made them feel the music and what you are trying to show. Always stretch out before (duh) and just have fun! Hope I helped

i go to dance competitions all the time! what dance type do u compete in?

i compete! my advice is don't look at the judges , look at the very back of the room at the exit sign or soem sort of object. our dance team usually gets high golds and platnums only because we practice alot and we have great choreography. good luck on your solo!

i do competitions at doncaster, colsterworth and sheffield. i did a tap solo at the doncaster festival earlier and i came 4th! yay. i just pretend noone's there and and stretch my arms and legs!
