Sweet 16 or no ?

Question:okay i am 15 years old and my mom gave me many options for a 16th birthday present.. she told me that she will give me money towards a down payment on a car, i can go ona teen tour to hawaii mexico las vegas and different islands alone,or i can have a sweet 16. people in school expect so much for my sweet 16 because they think that i am going to havea blow out party. although i want a sweet 16 i really want a car that i can call my own. i cant get both =( and i realy dont know what to do please help me !

Can you afford the payments on a car? What about insurance and gas? Repairs? You and your mom should talk some more about all the costs that come after the downpayment. There's a lot of responsibility involved.

Once you get all that information together, your choice may be a lot easier.

If you go with the party, make it one you'll enjoy and remember with a smile. Don't pressure yourself to meet everyone's expectations. Your true friends want YOU to be happy!

what does sweet 16 mean to your mom? is it anyhow possible to have both??

A car will last a lot longer than a party. If I were you, I'd go for the car and maybe you could have a small, low key party.

mm....I would chose for my opinion is a Teen Tour to either country since cars can damage our world and have global warming. Try to choose a Hybrid Car instead of one of those
gas-money-wasting-causingusglobalwarmi... cars. :D

I had the same option. and unfortunately, i chose the party. $4,000 on a party that in my opinion, sucked. it was well attended (everyone wanted to come) but there were fights, i didn't get any of my cake, i spent soooo much time trying to make sure everything was perfect and crying over what wasn't that i missed about %50 of my party. The guests talked about it for a couple months... i looked "hott" but i wasn't that happy. Just ready for it to be over. Even if you have the BEST party in the world (meaning you love it and so do the guests) that is SO short lived. in 2 months the stories won't be told anymore and you're stuck being dropped offf and picked up. I'd honestly say GET THE CAR.

You are thinking about your future when you favor the decision for the car. That is a gift that will last. The party or the trip will be over in a night or a week with nothing but memories to show for it. The car will be there for you to create memories for a long time.

Woww get a car and go on the trip. That would be soo much fun. Much better than a lousy party that would only last for a few hours.

I would say a car; have a smaller party like at your house or something. a car will last longer than a like 4 hour party.

Hm. Depends how much you moms giving you on the down payment. If its alot, take it. If its only like 100-300, ehh popularity means more. All up to you.
