Show Dress?

Question:I'm a ballet and tap dancer and I have a show comming up. For ballet my outfit works but they don't know what to do about my tap dress. It's like, this straples that fits in langth, but not in waste. It's straples and I got the x small and it still didn't fit in waste! What can I do to make it? I'm only a small in lanth, but extra small in waste.

Yikes...strapless costumes are a challenge!

It's a little unclear, but I'm guessing that the waist is too big.

Doubled-sided tape definitely won't work, and I think that you could try and get it taken in, but by the time it's tight enough to fit your waist, it might be too tight to breathe.

I think your best (and possibly only) solution is to get it professionally tailored.

I also HIGHLY recommend sewing loops in the inside of the top of the costume so that you can attach clear bra straps to hold it up. You could also sew a bandeau bra in the top plus the clear straps to make sure it stays up.
