Not going to prom?

Question:so im not going to prom.. and i'm a junior
some people tell me its no big deal
and some people are crazy about it and are all like 'why aren't you going'
i'm just wondering.. is it worth going to?
like are all school dances as boring as homecomings are?

School dances are pretty fun. And I think you'll regret it if you don't go!

I didn't go to my junior prom. It wasn't a big deal to me or to anyone else at my school. I guess the mindset was "why spend all that money on clothes, a limo, etc. when we just have to do it again next year?"

That's how I saw it, anyway. I would say definitely don't skip the senior prom though. That's something you'll probably remember for the rest of your life and you'll have a good time.

me i did not go to my prom or my senior ball. thats right we had 2 and i do not care that i missed them. it only matters if you want to go or not.

it doesnt really matter...if u were a senior id say u gotta go but junior u really dont have to...u may regret it someday but i think it would be ok if u didnt

If you don't want to go, don't go. You could always go JUST IN CASE you might SOMEDAY regret not going. I didn't go to my senior party and well, 5 years later it really doesn't matter. It's entirely up to you. Some dances are as boring as homecoming, some dances are more eventful. It is just high school and one very small part of the rest of your life.

When I was in high school, I asked a few guys to the dance, but they all turned me down. Anyway, I ended up not going to my junior or senior dance. I felt if they wanted to ask me, they could, but they didn't. Oh, well. Then I find out years later that a few guys wanted to ask me but didn't. Well, guys, too late. Anyway, why not get a group of girls together and go? Everyone gets dressed up and basically has a good time.
