Choreographing issues?

Question:I'm in my school dance team and I have been choreographing for quite a while now.But the worst thing is happening to me right now:I'm stuck.I'm half way done with the piece I'm doing right and I can't find some steps to finish it
How do you usually deal with this kind of stuff?Where should i turn to?
Also where do you find ideas of costumes/clothing?

Same thing always happens to me. I suggest watching some dance videos on Youtube to get some inspiration, listening to other songs and see what choreo you can come up with in that. You can probably alter what you did in that to suit what song you are currently doing.

And if worst comes to worst you can repeat some steps that you have done from that dance or a previous one or ask another person in your dance team to come up with something.

clothing depends on what its for and what the body types are and the music and steps.

when im stuck in a rut i chill out and then turn on some other music and just dance, however i wnat to, then go back to the original music and try again or i talk to the people in the dance and see if they want to do something or what they are good at.

My only idea is to watch movies and/or videos of the types of dancing you are trying to incorporate into your routine. For example, if you are trying to do a cheerleading-type dance, rent movies like Bring it on, etc. or visit websites showing their dance routines. Pay attention and try to replicate what you see, but be sure to put a flair into it to make it your own.

Okay the best way to have an amazing piece is to watch tons of dance videos and find moves that suit your dance go to competitions to see dance moves and costumes to get inspired if your song has a music video watch it most music videos these days have the artist dancing also turn to other choreograpers and ask your dancers if they have any ideas costumes go to

Listen to music different from what youre using, it helps to make you think out of the box. You might come up with a pretty 8 counts of ballet, that can be tweaked to be a coo l hip hop move, for example.

As far as costumes, basic that are added to are great, and affordable. Everyone can dance comfortably and look good in black jazz pants and a cute top.
