I LOVE THE KRUMP!

Krumpin is sickening when you can do it well. Though the founders of Krump started out as clowners, the style of Krump is really QUITE different than clowning.

What I really love about it is that it gets back to that raw street energy that made breakin so hot in the 70s. It wasn't anything from a dance studio or lessons, just some kids on the street getting together and creating moves. Their moves got better and tighter by battling in gyms, rec centers, parties and the streets. Krump is exactly like that today. These aren't rich kids taking classes on their parents money, possibly interested in dancing and possibly not. These are kids that use this culture as their lifeblood. They HAVE to Krump. When you have that kind of raw creativity and energy, you are going to get something that forces people to take notice ... again, just like the b-boys (East Coast) and Lockers/Boogaloos (West Coast) did back in the day.

And in case you don't live in LA, through the magic of technology, you can actually learn Krump today from the creators of the style. You can also learn the full history and see some awesome battles all in the same place.

The founders of Krumpin are Tight Eyez & Big Mijo and Lil C. They both have their own style and teach in different ways. AND, they both have their own series of instructional videos and DVDs. I've seen both and they are all excellent for getting a well-rounded look at the style and learning how to do it for yourself.

Here's the links to their sites:
Tight Eyez / Big Mijo - http://www.krumpkings.com/
Lil C - http://www.krumpsessionone.com/
(has some previews and instructional lessons)

Again, there really is no other way to TRULY learn Krump unless you live in LA and can hit up the battles. With these videos, you got these dudes right in your living room telling you how it is.

Also, you can get these videos through Netflix and Blockbuster.com if you don't want to buy them.

That's the way to do it ... now get out there and get BUCK!

krumping is a form a breakdancing and hiphop it's very common, i've never called it clowning. It's a great thing to use in break dancing, don't just throw in in anywhere cause you like it though. I tend to throw things i like in anywhere but when i revise what i've done i realize it's not right just be aware of where your throwing it in thats all =)

it makes you hurt like hell if you do it for 3hours strait and then try to walk it off or pop lock and drop it after wards. But i love to do it it's fun!! and also a great way to exercise if ur not into exercising. so take my advice and dont do it too hard or long, it's killer.
: )

Krumping and dance don't even belong in the same sentence.....
