Contemporary dance?

Question:I have made up SOME of a contemporary dance but i need some music and more ideas can some people tell me some music that is ideal, not to upbeat and kind of strange and any more ideas for the dance e.g Videos with good contemporary moves? thanks

for moves take any ballet move u've ever learned and just add a twist to it...then its contemporary...take a tendu...add a lean back or a cool arm.... a (sha nay) turn and go differnt levels...its all already in ur head u just got to work through it and throw in a little of ur own creativity. also once u pick a song certain moves will just seem right with the music....osng choices...try billy joel, or the fray (cable car is a good one!!) you can use ALOT of different people for that check out the iTunes top 10 and see if any of them work for you

search contemporary dance on youtube and you get lots of videos of dancing with music ideas and dance moves and stuff.
