Question:ok so im in charge of choreographing a cheer try-out routine for my school, but im struggling to figure out what is more
important and im running out of time.

SIMPLE OR CHALLENGE?

i almost finished the whole routine and i showed my family and they think its too hard(fast) but then again they never saw the try-out dance we had to do last year. which i believe was just as hard.

the girls who try-out range from no experience whatsoever to critical background training.

what would you suggest is the way to go?

Run it by the other girls on your squad and come up with a consensus. By making it super hard you dont want to rule out a newcomer who is really talanted and can be beneficial in other ways. For example, I was a good flipper but I still cant learn choreography quickly!

Start out with an easier routine and then you can skim off the girls who have no clue what they're doing. Then progress into a more difficult one so that you can challenge the experienced ones and see how much skill they really have.

maybe the simple will be better as with your situation and background.
