How can i become really good at hip hop dancing?

By practicing on your own. practice makes a man perfect.

You practice by stripping down to your underwear and grinding against something with a Y-chromosome. Or a pole. Either will work.

practice practice practice! sure, you're born with a "groove", but it ain't gonna come out on its own! you really don't expect to be good at hip hop dancing just by watching videos, do you?

get yourself a dvd of hip hop dancers and practice in your own home in front of a mirror. the more you practice at anything the better you get..
remember you are your own worst critic.

It takes flexiblility and focus, but if you have the drive, it can be your dream dance, although it's a bit more rougher than your standard rap dancing of the 1990's! This rap is like techno rap mixed with crawling and spinning on one hand or even on your head, but not on a plastic board, you'd been spinning all over the room. I saw this video on this bus in Los Angeles CA, they have computer transit t.v.'s on all buses and I was watching the new rap dancing and it's pretty intense. I didn't see many black rap dancers, mainly Latino and white boys wanting to be like black boys! So it's a pretty stiff industry and you have to be GOOD or you are not noticed. No need for posers or bozos in that dance genre, because around every corner you will find some type of Simon Cowell scraping you off the dance floor if you are not good and have not practiced only the newest moves. But good luck.

u need to have the talent! and the talent! Noone can arrive from being talent alone. God gives talent, work transgress talent. you need to take classes, so you learn more techniques and stuff. i mean have u ever dance alone in your room, do you see yourself as the level of the professionels, does step up 2 steps easy for you? i have heard lotta people sayin "wow how can we dance like that? they r so professional" honestly after i watched the movie i was like "wow thats so easy". how did i become professional? i took a dance class for 2 weeks only til the teacher moved me into his band called p.o.p.(professional of popping) why he did that? 1st of all he saw the talent, it was easy for me 2 dance, to learn the choreograph, the dance it on the beat without him telling how we will do it, he used 2 tell every1 look at her when u're dancing, follow her steps! he saw the passion of dancing, and he got surprised how i never took classes and i knew how to dance, do the move at the corret form, add my own flavor, in hip hop u dont add something on the choreography that offend the choreograph, u just put a flavor in it , ur style in it... u need to be born with the and b able to do what i meantioned earlier. plus! take lessons, cause, if u really have a talent some1 might find u 2 make u a part of his professional team! cz they dont take anybody who never practice! if u dont have money 4 classes, do it at home! do it often! some days will come you will dance 4-5 hours a day and even more! you need 2 learn how to chill and release the pressure!
