Bloch-harder shank, generally herder to break in but last longer, pretty painful at first

Capezio-haven't tried them

Freed-box doesn't hold up very well, hard-ish shank, pretty easy to break in, box can be reinforced with jet glue, quieter than most shoes because they're mainly used as one-use performance shoes

Gaynor Minden-HATE these! pre-formed arch feels horrible and doesn't allow you to work through your foot correctly, most people I know hate them, they end up weakening your feet, only tried them for one class

Angelo Luzio-never tried them or even heard of them

Grishko-probably my favorite that I've had so far, but don't get the soft shank because they die wayyy too fast, they look good on most feet, boxes didn't hurt as much as first as others I've tried, relatively quiet, lasted a pretty long time, formed well to my arch

Porselli-never tried

Prima Soft-never tried, but I know one of my dance friends likes hers

Sansha-never tried, but I've herad good and bas things

Repetto-never tried or heard of them

Gamba-ugly on most feet, never tried them but have seen them and heard mainly bad things

Remember that you need to go try on a TON of pointe shoes to find the ones that work for you and that you shouldn't go too much by what others say.

NO pointe shoes are painless. But I use Capeizo.

no pointe shoes are painless. i use harmonie, which i love. also u left out russian pointe and harmonie

i would reccomend either
Bloch-Serenade
or Grishko pointe shoes

I use sansha, my dance teacher uses sansha.
Theey are almost painless, VERY quiet and easy to break in. Sansha liryca have a beautifoul arch.

gaynor mindens: they are really quiet and are already broken in for you and make your arch look reallyyy good :]

ok with the bloch shoes there is a type called morphs
you blowdry them and they morph to your feet. they start a little stiff, but are easy to break in, they have extra padding in the toe, but you would still need pionte shoe pads, they dont hurt, and the form to your foot.

the grishko shoes are quiet, soft, east to break in, they dont give many blister, and they have a good arch.

hope this helps

bloch they work best 4 meh..x

I ? Leo's!

I know my icon says i am a boy but this is really his sister talking i am a girl
bloch is definetly the best i got mine last summer and they are still amazing once you work them in they show an amazing arch if you have one i recomend you go to someone who fits pointe shoes if this is your 1st pair u can't just order them from a magazine you should go in and have the person who fits pointe shoes finds the best brand for you but if you are just asking what i perfer is bloch

i LOVE Grishko. they r easy to break in, painless, quiet, they give me a good arch and i can get alot of wear out of them. i have really strong feet though. they also really fit my feet.

Personally, I like gambas. Theyre good for a strong arch because the shank is carbon fiber, not redboard, so its more resiliant. However, there is no one best shoe, a lot of factors go into determining what the right fit is for one dancer.
Blochs are a good starter shoe, decent hard shank, a lot of styles to accomodate different feet. Capezio comes in many styles, much softer shanks, but styles like the glisse are good for wider feet. The capezio contempora is a great shoe, at least for my foot. Freeds come in extra widths, a lot fo pro dancers use them, but again, fi they dont fit, they dont fit.
Gaynors are GORGEOUS shoes, but I personally dont like the weak shank. They do have a lot of options to customize the fit, I hate the side drawstring, theyre really expensive.
Luzios, our dance store doesnt get a whole ot of demand for, nothing special IMO. Same with Porselli. Prima Softs are ok, easy to break. Sansha are good for dancers with wide feet, theyre economical and they come with a shank enhforcer if your feet are super duper strong...course, I dont know anyone who needs them! Theyre quiet, and they come with preattached elstic mesh that is hard to see on stage. Repetto is like the cousin of Gamba, same manufacturer, love those too! However, Repetto actually isnt producing the actual repetto (versus gamba) models until further notice.
