Ballroom, take ballroom! It is such a fun way to get excersize and socialize- I really recommend swing, salsa, meringue and tango but a good beginners ballroom class should cover a variety of dances for you to learn.

There is street, hip hop, interpreation dance all good for you start at your age. You could even try your hand at cheerleading

Running

Soccer. Track. Swimming.

i took up volleyball well before that, but i have a friend who started when she was 16 and just signed with a major college.
its fun and you get to know other girls in your school.

tennis--are you looking for recreation or competitive edge?

hip hop is not too hard once you get the hang of it.
modern/contemporary is really cool and you don't have to be and amazing dancer

the charleston is a good one. it's sooo much fun and it isn't as hard and as alot of other dances out there.

It's never to late to start ballet and if you do want to take any dance class then you need to have some background of ballet because all dance is based around ballet. You can start it at any age because most dance studios offer classes for older people like yourself that want to take up dance. Or you can do what i did and just take it up. I have been dancing since i was three but i was never in the classes with the "good" people. A couple of years ago i decided i wanted to take up competition so I got over my fear of being imberrased because i hadn't taken tap in like four years and I took a really high level tap class and that year I made competition because I applied myself and showed that i was interested. Dancing is not that hard to pick up on either as long as you take a lot of classes a week.

DANCE!!!!!!! Or cheerleading or pom-pom.

Its a shame youve ruled those activities out, it doesn't matter how old you are, its awesome exercise and at 15 you have a ton of time to learn.
That said, if you're into something else, you might enjoy running or something social...like tennis for example.
