im a guy but i can answer your question. and it isn't really a girly question coz guys who do karate do this too. cartwheel is the basic foundation for the round-off tumbling- which is the foundation for your basic series <of tumbling>

anyway, there are alot of youtube vids that can help

straddle plit

front split

split stretches in bars

(you can also do this behind your sofa and on your breakfast counter)

another link that i found:

which ever technique that you think that is best, go for it; all you need is patience. always remember to use your body weight when learning this coz balistic efforts will not do you any better or may actually cause harm (like tearing of tendons).

as with the cartwheel, this vid has good explanation:

it is best to do the splits in the morning and in the afternoon/night everyday for at least 15-30 mins. as for the cartwheel, when you think it's safe to do so (like supervision, space, etc)

flexibility stretches? there are tons in youtube too

good luck!:)

Those aren't really things you learn online. You learn the splits by doing the splits. Every night I would try them and go as far as I could until eventually I was all the way in the splits. As far as a cartwheel...I've never done one. Not a good one anyways! That's not really my thing, but you learn by doing. Learn to be more flexible? Hmmm...stretch. lol. Everyday. Stretch until you think you're break. And trust me, you won't. ;)
