First of all, you are going about this the right way by waiting for your teachers approval, and not endangering yourself by wearing pointe shoes not fitted for you! That said, I would talk to your teacher, tell ehr what your goals are and see if she has any constructive advice to give you about strengthening up, technique, etc. I know it sounds dumb, but sometimes I think teachers get caught up and don;t necessarily have a good grip on what their students hope to accomplish. In the meantime, stck with working diligently in class, make ti very obvious that you want to become a better, stronger dancer!

ahah

rrr... lucky! i am 13, ive been taking ballet since i was 4, and im still not on pointe. my teacher said i would this year, but she changed her mind! she says that as a class, we are not ready yet. well, of course, since she let a bunch of new, inexperienced people into the class! i am sure that i would be allowed on pointe if everyone else was at my level. >:O

Well...when your teacher says to get the shoes, then you are ready. Being ready to go en pointe is question of strength more than anything. Your teacher is the expert here. Listen and pay attention because you do not want an injury.

I think it's good that you're waiting until you're teacher tells you that you're able to go on pointe. Because if you do go on pointe too early, you might injure yourself. To keep your mind off of waiting, I think you should focus your attention on your technique. The better your technique is and the stonger dancer you are, the better you will do on pointe. Also I was put into a "pre-pointe" class which we focused on strenghtening our feet and ankles, for about 6 monthis, then I was finally able to get my pointe shoes.

First of all, the standard age for pointe is age 10. I am not sure how old you are, but if you are younger, WAIT. Follow your teacher's judgement (if you go to a credible school, it should be ok). Some tips for when you do go en pointe: 1) DO NOT start out with pads. Lambs wool will make your toes stronger. 2) Take time at your fitting, and make sure you go to a good place. 3) Check your shoes with your teacher to make sure that a) they fit okay (this shouldn't be a problem if you go to a good store, I have a good recommendation if you are in the Philadelphia area) and b) you know how to sew them correctly. Good luck! Pointe is difficult, but very beautiful and rewarding in the end. <3

this video im giving u will answer u Q's

In our studio, if you've had four years of experience and are 10 or older, you can have pointe shoes. I know in many studios, you have to get the ok from your instructor.
