My favorites are Grishko 2007s and Freed Classics. They both look great on my feet!

Gaynor Mindens are horrible, by the way. They practically shove you up on pointe because the shanks are pre-formed and don't let you roll through demi pointe.

im sure they stock gaynor mindens in australia?
im sure they do in nz anyway.

but i like bloch.
and i love the look freed has.
havn't tried them yet though.

I have worn Bloch, Grishko's and Freed's. And I like the look of Freeds but they do not last anywhere near as long as Bloch pointe shoes. I have worn Sonatas', Axioms', and Axis'. Bloch pointe shoes last much longer than any other shoe I have worn. Currently I am wearing Freed Studio Professionals, previous to that I wore Bloch Axioms.
Depending on where you dance and the level of classical ballet and professionalism your school is, most schools will not allow dancers to wear Gaynor Mindens because they are plastic and you really can not get to a full demi- pointe which is crucial to pointe technique.

bloch i think thats what there called

Grishko 2007's fit my feet the best. I tried Bloch Sonata's first, and they just didn't fit right. I think it was b/c I have a narrow tapered foot and so my big toe was smished oddly in the corner. Seems to all come down to what works best on each individual's foot. I'm going to try some other options when I buy my next pair just to see, but I love the Grishkos :)

i love gaynor mindens- i have had them for a while
i used to have grishkos but i didn't like them too much

oh, i use capezios. they're gorgoeus and they really suit my feet. they last a long time, too. i don't know, my friends and i all had blochs and we thought we liked them, but then we went to a bigger city to try on other brands, and we all found different ones that were better for our feet.
when you go to get new pointe shoes, go to a place that offers at least three or four different brands. and try on every brand, because you just never know what suits you. i used to go to this place where they only carry two brands and they just don't work for me. i went one time to this professional pointe shoe fitter person and she reccommended the perfect pair for me. so even if you have to pay for a professional, it's good to go at least once. they have good advice and know what they're talking about.

some of my friends have gaynor mindens, and they do like them a lot, but like i said, it's really different for everyone.
