I think this type of dance is based on old-school jazz dancing, the "grind", and hip-hop (because most of hip-hop came from the ghetto neighborhoods, like the Bronx in New York).

One type of ghetto move is the shoulder pop or shoulder pop isolation. You may have seen this in jazz dancing.....But adding a sort of "ghetto" twist to the shoulder pops...

I think I am going to call this move the "dead puppet."

When you pop one shoulder up and one shoulder down at the same time, angle your head also at the same time either to the left or the right, and when you pop the other shoulder up and the other shoulder down, angle your heat also at the same time to either to the left or to the right.

This is only just one of the ghetto moves out there.....

I also suggest you take up belly dancing to improve your booty movements, if you are a lady; if not, take a samba class from any capoeira organization. This will also help your hips and your booty. Then, when you "ghetto" dance, you will feel better about doing it.....

You can't really EXPLAIN how to dance a certain way. You have to try it out and get somebody to show you. Annnd yeah youtube it.

bend your knees and shake your hips...and yea watch some videos and practice in a mirror. Everyone can dance (move) you just have to practice.
