I am kindof worried because im going to start ballet but i will be put in a clas

Question:I wont be with anyone i know and im afraid that i will make a fool out of myself. I really dont want this to get in the way of me going to ballet because i really want to do it.

I am also in a ballet class with a bunch of students who are a few years younger than me. In fact, I am the oldest. It's not a big deal. Sometimes, being the oldest comes to an advantage. Most likely, you'll be the most focused in class and that will help you move up levels faster. Just stay alert and make a good impression. Then you will problably be the best dancer in the room. Don't let the younger students get to you!

Don't let this bother you. In my ballet class, I have a few people who are my age, most a year younger, and others 2 or 3 years younger. It all depends on what level everyone is at. Ballet is a great thing to take up anytime, because it's fun and will keep you in shape. If you act confident and put your best foot forward, you'll be okay. Good luck!

Don't worry about it-everyone is at a different level-just do your best, have fun, and strive to do better each day. Enjoy it!

I am sure that this will be better than being in a class of your own age, that have the knowledge you don't.

It's only while you get used to it and to see what you can do, all ballet schools do this. Give it a few weeks and if they think you are okay and doing well you will be moved up into your own age group.

Don't let it bother you, work hard and practice whenever you can! The quicker you learn and the more willing you are to learn the quicker you'll move up to the next grade.

Ballet is beautiful I did it for years, my brother dances with Rambert but he had to work hard for that coveted position! Doesn't matter your age, matters your ability!
