Question:I just started doing some stretches because I am very stiff. I was just wondering how long would it be before I start seeing results if I do it a couple times a day.

a couple times a day? lol like how long and what stretches.

if you want to start seeing results within 2 weeks i would suggest that you stretch for a half an hour to an hour every day and only after your muslces are warmed up.. like after you run for 5 minutes.

here are some basic stretches.. and please dont just work on splits, you want to be equally flexible everywhere if possible.

sit down with you legs straight in front of you and your toes pointed, try to lean forward and touch your toes. count for 20 seconds. sit back up then flex your feet. count again. make the widest v you can with your legs and try to touch your toes again, one side at a time, with your feet pointed then flexed. get in a straddle position and kind of rock back and fourth, touch the floor. then put both hands on your knees and hunch one shoulder at a time.
squat on one of your legs and stretch the other one out in front of you, try to reach forward to the stretched out foot, try your splits as far down as you can. count everything for at least 20 seconds. circle your shoulders and neck. stetch your arms over your chest and behind your head.

I would say if you really try in about a month you would be able to see some good results. Take it slow. Once you start to feel pain is when you should stop to prevent tearing tissue!

it might take a couple weeks to a couple months, the scary thing is my brother can do it.

but you should know not to force it, you can really injure yourself like shattering your pelvis or something. not fun.

It depends how much you stretch?
I couldnt do the splits last year, but i ws really determind so i stretched every morning and before i went to bed and i did in about a month.
