Position:Home>Dancing> Top Heavy Ballet?

Question:I've been interested in ballet for a few years now. I have watched people perform for a while and I really want to start trying it. I'm 15 and I have the body of a ballet dancer: very slender, long appendages, but I have much larger breasts (34D).

I'm not looking to pursue a career or anything in dance, I just want to take classes for fun. Will my body type allow me to do this, or will the extra baggage only slow me down? Opinions?

No stupid answers please.

Well, I have the same issue as you (Except bigger...), but I've been taking dance for the last 10 years no problem. If you just do it for fun, there's no issues. Just remember to wear a sports bra or jumps can be, as I'm sure you know, extremly painful! Also it helps for us top heavy girls to really hold our upper bodies tightly. You're supposed to do this anyways, but it can really impact how easy and fun dance is.

Why worry about your body type? Go learn and have fun.

Of course you can still do Ballet. I have the perfect Ballet figure, but my boobs are pretty big too. So if I've been doing it for the last 12 years why can't you?

I'm sure you will love it.

Hope this helps :)

go for it! you'll be fine ;)

If you don't wanna be serious then you will be fine! Just go have fun!

If you wanna go to somewhere like SAB, then you have to have the perfect ballet body...absolutly know flaws.

if you enjoy it you are made for it!
and dont worry my mate is 36e and she one of the best dancers at our school.
